PREMIER : A 9 round FIDE rated open swiss
for players of all strengths and nationalities. GM, IM, WGM
and WIM norms will be achievable in this event (subject to
U2000 : A 7 round FIDE rated swiss for players of any nationality rated below 2000.
U1800 : A 7 round FIDE rated swiss for players of any nationality rated below 1800.
U125 : A 7 round ECF graded swiss for players graded below 125.
Players in the U2000, U1800 or U125 may play in the last 2 rounds of the Premier free of charge if they want to play 9 rounds instead of 7.
(W)GMs and (W)IMs may play free of any entry fee.
(W)FMs may play for half price.
In order to encourage participation of female players, who are a minority in chess, there is half price entry for all women and girls in this event
Players with a FIDE rating may play in the U2000 only if it is below 2000. Players without a FIDE rating may play in the U2000 if their ECF is below 175.
Players with a FIDE rating may play in the U1800 only if it is below 1800. Players without a FIDE rating may play in the U1800 if their ECF is below 150.
It is hoped that entries will be sufficient to increase the above prize fund particularly with additional grading prizes.
We have negotiated special rates with De Vere Sunningdale Hotel for players wishing to stay at the venue if booked through e2e4 chess
There is a £10 discount off of the entry fee (£5 in the U125) for those players staying 3 nights at the venue if booked with e2e4 Chess.
A late entry fee of £5 will be payable on entries received later than Sunday 6th April 2014.
Entries on the day will be accepted at the organiser's discretion, subject to a £10 additional fee.
All entry fees must be paid when an entry is submitted, otherwise the entry will not be accepted.
English players in the Premier, U2000 and U1800 must be Gold members of the ECF. All players in the U125 must be Silver ECF members or pay the £6 ECF Pay to Play fee.
No player may win more than one prize. Ungraded or unrated players may not win a grading prize and, with the exception of the Open may only win 50% of any other prize.

It's not practical for an event
such as Sunningdale to have an Opening
Ceremony with the drawing of lots for colours, but we do
believe that all players should be able to see that the draw
for colours is fair, transparent and random. For those of
you who have played in one of our events before, you will
know that we like to be inventive when it comes to doing
Premier is 9 rounds, whilst U2000, U1800 and U125 are 7 rounds. Players in these sections may play in the last 2 rounds of the Premier free of charge if they want to play
9 rounds instead of 7.
Pairings in all sections will be according to FIDE swiss pairing rules, using the Swiss Master computer program.
Venue and Directions
Exit M25 at Junction 13
At the roundabout take the exit signposted Bagshot (A30), which runs alongside the slip-road back up to the M25. At the next roundabout take the second exit on to the A30 towards Bagshot / Camberley. At the next roundabout take the second exit (A30). Follow the road straight over the first and second set of traffic lights and and at the third set of lights turn right onto Blacknest Road (A329). Follow this road for approximately 2 miles. Turn left onto Silwood Road (B383), signposted to Sunningdale Park then follow the appropriate instructions below:For Main Reception ; take the first right into Larch Avenue and after a short distance Sunningdale Park’s main entrance is on your left. For Northcote House; just after the bend in road turn right into the gateway signposted signposted Northcote House
Exit M4 at Junction 10
Take the exit signposted A329 Wokingham. Then take the A329M towards Bracknell. From Bracknell follow the A329 for approximately 8 miles. Go through Ascot and towards Virginia Water for about 1 mile and then turn right into Silwood Road (B383), signposted to Sunningdale Park. Then follow the directions above depending on where your event is being held.
Exit M3 at Junction 3
Take the exit signposted Bracknell (A322) Pass a set of traffic lights and take the second turning on the left onto the A30 London/Staines/Heathrow. Follow this road for approximately 2 miles. After Sunningdale Railway Station take the first left turn onto Broomhall Lane (B383) signposted to Sunninghill/Ascot. Then follow the appropriate instructions below: For Main Reception; follow this road (B383) and Larch Avenue can be found on the right hand side after climbing a hill (Rise Road). The main entrance to Sunningdale Park can be found after a short distance on the right hand side. For Northcote House; follow this road (B383) and take the first right into Station Road. Follow this road for approximately 0.5 miles. After rounding a bend and climbing a hill turn left into the gateway signposted Northcote House.
Trains to Sunningdale station operate regularly from London
Waterloo, with the station being just 1½ miles from
Sunningdale Park Hotel. Complimentary transfer available by
prior arrangement with the hotel - Monday to Friday 8am -
6pm only. Please call 0844 980 2318 to arrange.
De Vere Sunningdale Park is within easy reach of London Heathrow (15 miles) and London Gatwick (40 miles).
Special rates of £32.50 B&B per person per night (based on 2 sharing) and £48 B&B (single) have been negotiated with De Vere Sunningdale Park Hotel. These rooms will be popular as always and players are therefore strongly advised to book early to avoid disappointment.

All day tea / coffee will be available to players for £2.50 per day.
Additionally, a buffet lunch @ £8.00 is available to all chess players whether staying or not, and buffet dinner @ £12.50 for three course is available each evening.
Alcoholic and soft drinks, sandwiches, snacks etc will be available, as well as a fully licensed restaurant, within the tournament venue for the duration of the event.
Please note that only refreshments that have been purchased from the hotel may be consumed within the hotel buildings.
No smoking is allowed within the hotel buildings.
