A series of 10 player all play alls open
to all players as follows:-
The Masters
will offer players the opportunity to play for an IM norm and is open to players rated
2100 or above.
The Challengers is open to players rated
1900
or above (or graded above 150 ECF) and offers the opportunity to
qualify for the next Masters event free of charge.
The Major
is open to players of any strength and offers the
opportunity to qualify for the next challengers event, improve
your rating or even get your first rating. Any unrated player
who plays in any of these events will get a full FIDE rating as long as they
(and all other unrated players in their section) score at least one
point, whilst rated players get 9 FIDE rated games of chess.
We will run as many sections as entries allow. All sections
are 10 player all play alls so late entries will only be
accommodated if we can get 10 players to complete a section.
All of these events are FIDE rated all play
alls set in the same great hotel as the Uxbridge Congress,
De Veres Denham Grove Hotel, Tilehouse Lane, Denham, Buckinghamshire,
UB9 5DU.

The
Masters event offers players (rated 2100+) the opportunity of 9
extremely competitive games of chess
with the the chance to
secure that all important norm. We will be running two norm sections
and entires will be
accepted on a strictly first come first served basis. GM's wishing
to play should contact us with details of the
conditions they require.
The Challengers event offers players rated
1900+ or graded above 150 ECF 9 competitive
FIDE rated games. All 9 games are FIDE rated, even if
unrated players take part (this is unique to all play alls). Unrated players
will obtain a full FIDE rating just by playing in this one event*.
Players will be divided into equal strength sections of 10 players
if entries allow more than one section to run.
The winner of each Challengers section
will receive free entry to the next Uxbridge Masters. A great way to pay for your
Masters entry next time!
The Major event
is open to all players, although it's primarily aimed at players rated below
2000 (or graded below 150 ECF) who want
to play 9 competitive FIDE rated games of chess in a friendly atmosphere with the
opportunity to gain those all important rating points or obtain their first ever
FIDE rating.
All 9 games are FIDE
rated, even if unrated players take part (this is unique to all play alls).
Unrated players
will obtain a full FIDE rating just by playing in this one event.* Players will be placed in groups of 10 according to rating / grade so that all
the players in a group are of a similar strength.
*By playing in this event, an unrated player will be
assured of achieving a full FIDE rating as long as all the unrated players score
at least a 1 point.
FIDE ratings now go down to 1201 so it is realistic for any player graded 60 ECF
or above to obtain a FIDE rating.
All sections are 10 player all play alls so late entries can only be
accommodated if we can get 10 players to complete a section.
