Brighton International : 15-19 February 2012
Our familiar series of 10 player all play all events returns to Brighton in 2012.The Masters will offer players the opportunity to play for an IM norm and is open to players rated 2050 or above, or those who have qualified via the Challengers. THIS SECTION IS FULL
The Challengers is open to players rated over 1900, or graded above 150 ECF, or qualified from a previous Major. Players will be placed in groups of approximately equal strength. The winner of each challengers section will qualify for the next Masters event free of charge. THIS SECTION IS FULL
The Major is open to all players rated below 2000 (or graded below 165 ECF) who want to play 9 competitive FIDE rated games of chess in a friendly atmosphere with the opportunity to gain those all important rating points or obtain their first ever FIDE rating. Players will be placed in groups according to rating / grade so that all the players in a group are of a similar strength. In an all play all, all games are FIDE rated, even if unrated players take part (this is unique to all play alls) so an unrated players can obtain a full FIDE rating just by playing in this one event. THIS SECTION IS FULL.
However, we will now run an additional Major section provided that we receive 10 entries. Currently, we have 8 so we expect this new section to be full by the weekend. Entries to this section are conditional on receiving 10 entries in total and are accepted on that basis.

High Wycombe Congress : 16-18 March 2012
Following our successful debut we return to the beautiful surroundings of the Devere Uplands Park for our High Wycombe Congress. The event will be a 5 round swiss but, for the first time we will have four sections with three of them FIDE rated. This is a great opportunity for players of all standards to play competitive FIDE rated games in the UK.The FIDE rated sections will be Open, Major Under 2050 (175 ECF) and Intermediate Under 1850 (150 ECF) whilst the Minor Under 120 section will be ECF graded but not FIDE rated.

Dublin Easter International : 5-9 April 2012
Following our successful hosting of the 2011 Irish Championships we return to Dublin for a new event in our calendar, the Dublin Easter International. All games will be FIDE and ICU rated, and we will also send the results to the ECF for those English players who want the games to be graded.
There will be three sections. A 9 round FIDE rated open which will be good for GM and IM norms, plus two 7 round FIDE rated events ; Challengers (Under 2000) and Major (Under 1750).
Dublin is a beautiful city and, thanks to Ryanair, cheap to get to! So why not treat yourself to Easter in the Emerald Isle and play in this event.

London Diamond Jubilee International : 2-6 June 2012
To celebrate the Diamond Jubilee of Queen Elizabeth II we are hosting a special one off event at the Crowne Plaza Hotel at London Gatwick Airport over the double bank holiday weekend at the beginning of June.
There will be four sections ; a 9 round FIDE rated open at which GM and IM norms will be possible plus three 7 round events. The FIDE rated Challengers is restricted to players rated below 2000 (or graded under 170 if unrated) whilst the FIDE rated Major is restricted to players rated below 1800 (or graded under 145 if unrated). The fourth section, the Minor, is open to anyone who is graded below 120.
We've only been able to secure 50 rooms at the hotel at our special discounted rates and when they are gone, they're gone - so book early to avoid disappointment!
